I am enlightened to once again be offering an intro to my Creative Writing course!
“Enlightened?” you ask.
Well, I’m also doing a deep dive into language and how it’s been used to control us over the last few hundred years. It was pointed out to me that the prefix ‘de’ means ‘down, away’, so when we say we are ‘delighted’ we are effectively saying that our light has been lessened. 😳 Hence my use of ‘enlightened’, which means I am ‘put into or on light’. (If you can think of a better option, please let me know!)

It’s a ‘taster/intro class’ derived from the course I have been teaching since the late 80s, which always generates enthusiastic reviews. You can read some comments from past participants here.

Having spent the last few years dealing with significant life change after significant life change, I’m looking forward to advancing my creative projects this year! The New Year has only just begun, according to the Chinese calendar and ancient calendars, and apparently I am beginning my entire life cycle again, having just turned 60. So here’s to some rich and deep creative progress for me and you.
