excited audience bigI’m delighted to announce a new Mastery Club Facilitator – more about her and her first course next blog! Meanwhile, here’s a snippet:

Nicky Manning completed The Mastery Club 10-week program with a small group of daughters + friend earlier this year via Skype. She loved it and signed up to facilitate her own programs – and is beginning her first 10-week program tonight in Mt Evelyn with nine women. This lady is a mover and shaker! The plan is for those women to learn some skills and then empower their children. Such a great approach, since we know that family culture is a critical factor in our success and wellbeing.

I’m proud to be the guest speaker at the launch of a writing client’s book this Sunday 13th October in Mordialloc!

Cheryne Blom approached me early in 2018 to help her refine her book, The Courage to Be You. We worked closely together for quite a few months and it’s wonderful to now be helping her launch this new book!

If you’re interested in flipping your fear into your greatest strength, this book is a collection of all the tools and strategies Cheryne uses in her coaching business and her own life to ensure that she remains empowered and resilient throughout whatever life throws at her.

And I’m chuffed to introduce the world premiere ‘Bent Sisters’ presentation at Mentone Public Library on Sunday October 26th

The Bent Sisters is a brand-new trio featuring me and my two sisters. ‘Bent’ relates to our maiden surname ‘Bentata’, and to the idea of being – let’s say, ‘affected’ by life! Our brief was to speak about the role of literature in our family and life, and we’ll all be touching in on the influence of trauma. This event is part of the Kingston Seniors Festival – gosh, it’s a shock writing that word! Am I a ‘senior’ already?

My younger sister Anita Bentata, author of The Wolf in a Suit, is speaking for an hour from 11-12 on ‘The 7 Secrets Inside Relationship Abuse’, and ‘Fairy Tales and Truths for Women, the Community and Professionals’.

Then my older sister Yvette and I will join her from 12.30-1.30 to speak about ‘what binds us beyond bloodlines’ – that talk that will touch in on writing and trauma…

Yvette Bentata-Moore is a poet and artist who also offers art therapy sessions for women going through tough times. (If her name seems familiar, she was the illustrator of the Champion Series books about Don Tolman and Dr John Demartini!)

To book in for one or both sessions, phone 9583 8494. (Bookings are preferred by 24th October due to the intimate size of the venue.) This is a gold coin donation event.

PS. ReWrite The Rules Of Your Life: On the very same day (26/10) one of my other writing clients is launching his book about how he talked himself out of suicide age 12… So sad that the dates are clashing – I’ll be dashing from my event to his, which is in Riddells Creek. More details on David Gillman’s book launch next blog too.
